We are delighted to welcome you to the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek! 

We hope, that you will find all the necessary information on our website – general information about our Faculty, scheduled Erasmus courses for the upcoming semesters, students’ life and more.

 

A few words about Osijek. The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek is located in Osijek, a city in the northeastern part of Croatia. Take a virtual tour inside our Faculty. Osijek is the fourth-largest city in Croatia and the largest city in the region of Slavonia, which is located in the eastern part of the country. The city is also the cultural, economic, and educational center of the region. It is situated on the right bank of the Drava River and is surrounded by the fertile plains of Slavonia and the hilly region of Baranja. Slavonia and Baranja are known for their rich cultural heritage, beautiful natural scenery, and traditional cuisine, and they offer a unique and authentic experience for visitors.

 

Osijek is a vibrant city that blends the old and the new. Its historic center boasts well-preserved Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture, including the impressive Tvrđa fortress, which dates back to the 18th century. The city is also home to numerous parks, museums, galleries, and cultural events, as well as modern shopping centers, restaurants, and cafes. Osijek is well connected to other parts of Croatia and Europe by road, rail, and air, with several international airports within driving distance.

 

At the Faculty of Civil Engineering Osijek, we offer a diverse range of specializations, within fthe fields of civil engineering and architecture and urbanism. Our programs include two bachelor fields of specialization and four master fields of specialization, providing you with the opportunity to develop advanced skills and expertise in your chosen area of study.

Please note that architecture and urbanism is available only as a bachelor program.

 

We welcome you to explore everything our faculty has to offer and our goal is to empower you to achieve your academic goals and build a strong foundation for  future endeavors. Besides Erasmus courses, here you can find a list of courses that can be taught in English or German. To enroll in these courses, you should contact the Erasmus+ coordinator, Anamarija Štefić (biskup@gfos.hr), to check their availability. In addition, all incoming Erasmus students can choose a Croatian language course as a preparatory course to gain basic knowledge of the Croatian language and culture. This course is free of charge for all Erasmus students, and ECTS credits are awarded upon successful completion.

 

Moreover, you are not limited to taking courses only at our Faculty, as you are welcome to explore and enroll in any course from our university. We are committed to providing you with a comprehensive and rewarding academic experience, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish during your time with us

 

We also offer internships mostly as a training in our Laboratory. If you are interested in the internship, please contact the Erasmus coordinator Anamarija Štefić via email biskup@gfos.hr.

Since 2014, the University of Osijek has been an active participant in the Erasmus+ program, which has enabled us to provide our students with valuable opportunities to study abroad and gain international experience. As part of our commitment to this program, we have published our ECHE Charter application and Policy Statement, which outline our goals and objectives for participating in Erasmus+.

 

In recognition of our ongoing efforts and achievements, we are proud to announce that we have recently obtained a new ECHE Charter. This achievement reflects our continued commitment to providing our students with the highest quality education and opportunities for personal and professional growth, and we are excited to see where this next chapter of our Erasmus+ journey will take us.
